Project Overview
ECS Group delivered a coordinated enabling works package comprising extensive electrical diversions, new below-ground service infrastructure and a 251m³ surface-water attenuation system. The complete electrical package was managed and delivered by ECS in collaboration with our trusted specialist electrical contractor.
Key Scope of Works
• Excavation and installation of approximately 350m of service trenches • Installation of approximately 1,850m of electrical ducting • Construction of cable draw pits and a concrete base for the new GRP enclosure • Installation of new LV distribution equipment and cabling • Isolation and diversion of existing electrical supplies • Installation of a 251m³ Wavin AquaCell attenuation system • Installation of associated drainage, manholes and hydro-brake flow control • Controlled excavation around existing live services • Reinstatement of concrete, tarmac and landscaped areas
Project Delivery
The works were carefully sequenced within an operational college campus, coordinating excavations, electrical changeovers and drainage installations around existing live services. Hand digging and vacuum excavation were used in congested areas to complete the package safely while minimising disruption to the college.
