Project Overview
ECS Group delivered the basement excavation, reinforced concrete substructure and below-ground drainage package for a new residential development in Whetstone. The works included approximately 1,000m³ of excavation and disposal, cropping 178 contiguous piles and constructing reinforced concrete capping beams, ground beams, retaining walls and ground-bearing slabs.
Key Scope of Works
• Basement and reduced-level excavation
• Cropping of 178 contiguous piles
• Reinforced concrete capping beams and ground beams
• Reinforced concrete walls and ground-bearing slabs
• Foul and surface-water drainage
• Two surface-water attenuation tanks
• Foul and surface-water pumping systems
Project Delivery
The package was delivered on a constrained site with restricted access and close interfaces between the piled structure, reinforced concrete works and drainage systems. ECS carefully sequenced the works to accommodate site-boundary restrictions, installed pile positions and the different development levels.
